Old summer holiday.

It's the famous Christ Church,a classical Church,and kept very well!

In your summer holiday,u just hang out with your old friends,you went a lot of places and no need to know where exactly u went.

 

U drank a lot and u smoked,u talked about the dream and the pointless things,but nobody cared,nobody knew the future,just life is always going on,u were too youny to worry.

 

This time,we were in Melaka.

 

When we got Red house Square,it was already 11:00 am,we were very hot,but we all got a surprise to the buildings.They’re really nice!

(Actually almost spots in Melaka are near the square,if u take a taxi come to Melaka,u can tell the driver u wanna go to the square,red house.U can from one spot to another spot by walking,it's the best way to travel in Melaka.There's a lot of taxi,almost of them can speak Chinese,even they look like a Indian or local person,but remember when they tell u a price,u must bargain!)

 

Here’s a very neat square,it really deserve the name!All the houses are red color here.In front of the red house,the most eye attracting stuff is the Queen Victoria's Fountain，it was built in 1901 by England colony,at that time Malaysia was dominated by England.（You can put coins into the fountain and make a wish!Somebody said here's fountain is miraculous!I'm not sure but let's have a try!)

 

Am i like a soider?aha~just 3rm you can take a very funny pic~i really like this guy,he's so funny and he has a lot of awesome stuff!!!

 

 

There’s a block tower in the square,it was built in 1886 by Holland,used to meansure the distance from one place to another,is it a clever way?

 The square also has a lot of stalls,sell the local gadget.My friend bought a very funny one.(Although my friend bought one,but my advice is don't buy anything from tourist attraction.And across the Square,there's a post office,have many kinds of postcard!Very cheap and you can straight send to your country or your family,less than 10 rm.)

 

Then we saw the famous one---Christ Church.

Christ Church was built in 1641—1660 by Dutch.It was a Church first,and then used by government,now it is the Melaka Museum.

 

In the Church,there’s a lot of precious relics from Malaysia,Portugal,England and Holland.

 

We went inside there,also had a lot of visitors there.They looked very happy and almost of them were old people.

So many people inside!

 

We cannot take pics inside,it’s really great and the relics kept very well.

 

My friends talked about the pic in front of the house,it’s very famous masterpiece<The last supper>’s copy.

 

‘Who’s the guy betrayed Jesus?’Lee asked.

 

‘That guy.’Calvin answered.

 

We just stayed there few minutes and then we went to the gun turret .

 

The sun was so big and we were tired,we sat beside the river,and took pic with the gun turret.

Gun turret is really cool!It's next to the river and has long history!

 

It write about the river's history.

You can feel the life in Melaka is very cozy and slowly,everyone looks relaxed,is like u no need to worry about anything.

We were starving and we went to the China town to eat the famous local food---Chicken rice ball.

Is it good?Now i keep this secret coz in my blog have another artical to say Melaka's food!

 

I will miss Melaka,miss the time I had fun with my dear friends!

About an old church,about a soul singer.

When we got there,had a many kids were playing and shouting.

Because St.Paul's church is in the high land,when we arrived ,i was so tired and hot.

At that moment,i felt a very gentle breeze..so cool!

I got a shock when i saw the church!In my mind St.Paul's church should be like other church,have colorful glass windows,a lot of benches to sit and pray for the believers,at least the church should have  ceiling!But here u cannot find anything ,just have exterior walls and looked like ruins.

But it has a power,u cannot describe but u can feel it when u stand inside.It's like a mysterious lengend,have a lot of stories inside,god gave us.

(If u wanna go to St.Paul Church,it's very simple.The church is near the  old downtown,u can take a taxi to this address:Jalan Parameswara Melaka.All the time is free.From here,u can overlook the whole scenery in Melaka,and here's the best place to take pics,a lot of couple take pics here.)

We saw a lot of primary school's students there,they dressed the uniforms and looked very cute..they spoke loudly and made the St.Paul Church ruins more active.

There's a middle-age vagrant singer sat there,he played the guitar very nice!when i saw him,he was playing a Chinese song<XIAO WEI>,it's very classic song in China,everyone can sing it.

 

 He's different,i don't know why.I saw so many "street singers"before,but no one was like him.maybe coz his smile or maybe the his place is so wonderful and special,anyway,i moved a lot.

"Great!can u play again,sir?"i asked.

"Ok,you wanna sing with me?"he said.

"No problem."i said.

He played again and all Chinese sang with him,it's quite cool!

Then he played <HOTEL CALIFORNIA >,i was really into his play and his voice.

How can a vagrant singer looks so happy?I think about that.

He doesn't have anything but he is happy.He enjoy his life and i can feel he loves his life.

Don't complain the god gives u not enough,just u want too much.

I looked around the ruins,i imaged the picture of here maybe 200 years ago.

They also played guitar and sang songs very happliy!they can speak a little bit Chinese.

I heard about the St.Paul Church was built in 1511 by Portuguese general Duarte coelho ,it's the oldest buiding in Southest Asia which was built by European.

There's a statue in front of the Church,it's the  missionary SanFrancescodiAssisi,he was buried in the St.Paul's hill.

Because of a lot of  wars,St.Paul's Church had already become the ruins,but i still can see the pic in my mind.

Everything was quiet and white,everything was new.The goldfather was in the Church and the people prayed,everywhere in the church was smelling like flowers,everyone was smiling.

So nice!

It was the time we need to come back,my friend told me when she was here last time,she saw a couple took photos here,it was really romantic,something made me think about'forever'.

I said goodbye to the singer,he's song was going on.

He gave us a smile and said'enjoy your life'to us.

'U too,man'we said.

I'm sure he will,he will enjoy his life and his song with the wonderful ruins,he can overlook the whole Melaca on the St.Paul's Church,at that moment,the whole world belong to him!

(If u are a shutterbug,u must go to St.Paul Church,it's almost become a symbol of Melaka.In there,u can take really artistic photos!And the traffic is really convinient.Don't miss it!)

 

About a river,about your memory.

Sometimes I think time is like a long river.sometimes is billowy,sometimes is quiet.But finally,go to the sea.The point is not the outcome but the process.

 

When we arrived Melaka River,it’s almost 8 Pm,sky became dark,and I enjoyed that time,so cool.

we waited in a queue and bought the ticket of the boat,8rm per person.

 

(Everyday the wharf has the activity to travel the Melaka river.You can find it in the main wharf easily.And the ticket is quite cheap,8rm per person and if u have student card u can get 50%discount.The whole travel costs 45-50 minutes,u can see coastal scenery and classic old Malay house.It's certainly worth the money!)

 

 

I had a dream when I was 14,5:take a walk around a river and hold hands with someone I love.

 

Now it’s almost came true.when i was boarding the boat,i smiled to Calvin and he also gave me a sweet feedback.

 

We were in a nice boat,except our students,the boat also had an old couple.They didn’t talk too much just watched the river.

The old couple left a deep impression on me.

 

Melaka river has very long history,since the sultan dynasty it’s the major trade port.In 2000,because of the government,it stopped the 600 year’s trade business.

The river is really nice!I cannot find a word to describe her!

Miss.Mei Bao was taken pic by almost everyone!she's like a super star!

 

On each side of the river,there’s a lot of old house and trees.And there also have a lot of graffito on the wall.

 

The new and the old,I feel the river …It is a dramatic story.

 

All the time the driver of the boat looked really serious!

Everything will change,maybe just love won’t.

 

The old couple said goodbye to us and got off the boat.Although we were clamorous,but i still felt the river is silent.

 

About a river,about someone’s memory.

When we talk about Melaka ..what we talk about?

when I think about Melaka ..what I think about? First ,i have some questions:

 

Where’s Melaka?

 

Why Melakaa is famous?

 

What’s the charm with Melaka?

 

Does it have some special local food?

 

Does it have something interesting?

 

Does the place have a long story someone will tell me ?

 

Does Melaka has a lot of cute boys?..(but now it’s not important coz I’ve already get the most cute boy in the world.lol)

 

I guess almost Chinese have the same questions and feelings with me when they think about melaka ..and have some impression are from our high school’s geography text book,they are like:

 

Melaka is a very important trade port..Melaka has very long history…Melaka has kind of relationship with china..

 

NEVER think about some day I am in MELAKA!!!!!!!

 

Life is always like that!you never know tomorrow what will happen.

 

I always have the same feeling since I’ve been Malaysia..how am I feeling?

 

I can’t describe it.

 

It makes me set a kind of relation with me and melacca even I was not here..when I was in the bus ..the feeling was stronger.

On the way by bus....expected!

 

 Everyone was expecting this travel..my friends dressed very nice and brought a lot of snacks..Mrs.Eza was in the bus ..when the bus suddenly moved,she’s still in there,almost come with us!We will miss u Mrs.Eza!

These guys were really cute in the bus and made me laugh a lot!I love u guys!

 

(Ok,now let me tell u how do u go to Melaka?We took the college's bus,and we spent 2 hours,if u wanna go,i have 3 plans:
                     
                    1) U can go to KL first,and then go to KL sentral to take the train,but this way spend more time,maybe need 3 hours.
                    2)U can go to the BTS station and then take a bus to go straight to Melaka.(My friend said before she tried this way,it's cool and just spent 2 hours.)
                    3)U can just take a taxi with your friends,it's easy and spend more money,but if u wanna go there with more than 5 friends,that's obviously the best way.Everyone just needs 40-50 RM.)


Ok,my journey was going on..


When I arrived our hotel in Melaka..i can’t believe I was exhausted!But I can see the sea,it is so near to us!

 

I love the sea!It’s amazing!

 

I share a room with Sya..she’s very nice and clever girl.

We heard about our today's plan,we were supposed to go to musuem this afternoon,but the command told us the plan changed,we were going to look around the scenery along the river by water.

That sounds great!

We sat in plaza and talked to each other about how's the environment,how's the hotel?And i took some pics for my friends and i.

Hi cuttie!Grace is my best friend,i feel really lucky coz i can travel with her!

I remember the dialogue in <Forrest Gump>:life is like a box of chocolates,you will never know what you’re gonna get.

 

By the way,our college's hotel is nice and clean,the room also really nice,it’s better than I imaged.

(Our hotel is in the portuguese area,it's a little bit devious but it's near to the sea,i think there doesn't have many hotels u can choose,when tomorrow i go to downtown,i will recommand about Melaka's hotel.)



After 1 hour,I took a shower and called Calvin.

 

‘Eat something?’I asked.

 

‘I’m starving!’Calvin said.

 

We went out and find a place to eat..you know what???!!!!We can eat with looking at the sea!it’s just over there!

 

The food was quite nice and very cheap.(If u live near portuguese area,u must go there!It's named"portuguese beer square",there has a lot of restaurants,seafood fry rice and spicy seafood noodles are really nice!Especially at night,it has the most fresh crabs!very delicious and huge!The price is not so expensive,each one is 30 RM.) The owner can speak a little bit Chinese.

 

The owner told us that his original family is China but he was born in Melaka.He can speak 4 languages."In Melaka,a lot of people can speak more than 3 languages!"he said.

 

At that moment,maybe I already got interested in here---Melaka.I hope I can learn something and have great time in Melaka!
